When 'shopping' for a new car, my wife and I usually go around showrooms measuring the dimensions inside the boot of many different makes and models. Using the published capacity is pretty pointless as the shape is often the critical factor. I think there was even an occasion when we took a suitcase with us to try for fit.

Any dealer worth his salt and selling a new or used car, regardless of make and model, should not only allow you to measure up the boot but should actively assist you by trying to fit your mobility scooter in the boot.

Your nearest VW dealers are Arnold Clark in Wishaw and in Dalmarnock (just off the M74 and close to Celtic Park).

My wife is disabled, with her scooter we can fit it in if split into it's parts ( take seat off, disconnect battery and back wheels and lower steering column). We did fit protector to safeguard bumper. Her non attendant manual wheelchair fits in although back 2/3 seat needs lowering to get it in. Hope this helps.
