Hi,
To give you an idea on which bits to wrap I have attached pictures of my black edition which some of the areas you are playing with are piano black on mine.
Thanks tech, appreciate it!

I was going for piano black for the black parts πŸ˜‰ If I had a black roof/spoiler it would be an easy decision to wrap the whole chrome stripe in black and it would look good. Now I feel it would still look awkward, just black awkward instead of chrome awkward πŸ˜‚

Good looking Black edition πŸ‘πŸ»

Hi peeps!!

Picked up the Roc yesterday after it being a week at the detailer for the Ceramic Pro application + Window Tint + wrapping of a few chrome bits.

Next wash I'll take a few more pics but for now I have this little sneak:

_20210711_200904.JPG

A few things couldn't be wrapped (loading sill plate + rear emblem background) and there was a little error as they wrapped the whole chrome stripe above the windows black instead of only above the windows and paintwork colour for the little part in the back, but overall it definitely looks better than before πŸ˜‰

The week before I had the 1000K service check and I asked the technician if he could program the inner taillights as DRL using VCDS. Because they're quite small and a multiple brand workshop (VW, Ford, Honda) the guy told me he only had the basic service software instead of VCDS (he mentioned the name of the software but I can't remember) and he advised me to see a specialist. πŸ˜“

I'm now debating to or change dealership/workshop to VW/VAG only or to pay a few bucks for an obdeleven tool to play around with. I also might do both πŸ˜‚

Cheers for reading along!! πŸ‘πŸ»

That wrapped bit may be a mistake but it looks AWESOME. I actually really want to do that now, specially since these weird water/chemical markings have appeared on my chrome part at the back.

And it’s the shiniest T-Roc I think I’ve ever seen. Probably too late for me to get ceramic coating applied since mine has quite a few stone chips πŸ˜”

Cheers dude πŸ‘πŸ»

I'm starting to like it more and more, definitely looking from the back it's sick.. I'll wait for the next wash for a proper inspection to see how it matches from the front πŸ•΅οΈ. I feel it might need a black touch in the front now to be honest, maybe the bottom chrome stripe of the grill?? I'll play around with some stuff, see how we go πŸ˜‰

As for the Ceramic coating, before application the paint gets completely corrected from imperfections, even on mine which is virtually brand new. So if the chips can be polished out you might be alright. I used and can definitely recommend Ceramic Pro!

As for the "shiniEST T-Roc" compliment, thank you sir. It's obviously a bit easier taking a picture 15min after picking it up from the detailer who gave it some showroom standards, but regardless, I'll take it πŸ˜‚
