After viewing something about the T-Roc facelit, I have to say that I like some things and others not, with the new equipment options T-Roc will remain a best seller,I'm sure.
I’m betting one of these new options is Area View. I really wanted that, it’s such a cool feature.

Any pictures of facelift yet and does this mean prices for old will drop?? I have been quoted over 5 months for a factory order and difference in price about €3400.00 as opposed to a limited stock one but spec is not the same.

MitieRoc, any photos of the face-lifted T-roc on the interweb are only car magazine impressions of what they think it will look like so of no use at all.
We'll have to wait for the official photos I guess 🤷‍♂️

Our member Seal has connections with volkswagen or someone in it so his input should be accurate.
He has said in the past the face-lift model will have a front bumper similar to the R.

Not sure if There'll be a price drop on the outgoing model, I'd say not 🤷‍♂️

It seems we have the first sneak peak here:
https://www.carwow.co.uk/volkswagen/t-r ... lease-date

As per the attached pictures, we have comparisons between new and old Standard and R-line trims:

Standard Front:

Standard Rear:

R-Line Front:

Please feel free to correct me, if this info is not correct.

Indeed this is the new R-line. I can confirm I’ve seen the new bumpers (and much more) with my own eyes 😉

The new R-line’s rear bumper has new fake exhaust tips, this time split to look a bit like quads. But still completely fake. Although interestingly, they look to be lower - under and either side of the (fake) diffuser.

The R-line rear bumper also has new taller, narrower reflector/vent sections.

The R-line designator on the side crease adopts the new R logo and is much more misleading since there is no “line” label, same as the Golf.

The R-line gets a new steering wheel that is basically taken from the new Golf so nothing that new there.

The 19” R-line rims are similar to Suzukas but much thinner spokes and the Y shapes are wider.

The new 18” rims look nicer I feel. They’re more of a swirl pattern with petals rather than spokes if that makes sense (like some of the GTI rims).

As previously reported, the DSG selector is illuminated and the touch-sensitive climate control controls from the Golf has been adopted. Unclear if the illuminated selector depends on R-line trim or not. I don’t think it does.

The infotainment screen appears to stick out of the dash (it looks bad in my opinion) with vents below rather than either side of it. This seems to be the same on all models. I guess it’s at a better height for viewing while watching the road?

The Style trim’s front bumper is largely unchanged (I think it takes over from SEL). The DRLs look like they now come with body color paint inside (although not fully, only 3/4, the rear 1/4 is black or a vent - hard to tell) rather than full black honeycomb. It does also get the newer style grill from the R-line with fewer but larger honeycomb vents (which I think looks HORRIBLE). Also the chrome strip that runs across and under the lip is thicker and more of a slash design than a strip.

The Style trim’s bumper is more like the outgoing model’s R-line bumper but with no black inside the reflector sections and no chrome around the fake exhaust tips.

Questions welcome 😉

Edit: to clarify why I’m describing slightly differently to what is shown above: the cars I’ve seen have slight differences. Perhaps they’re still tweaking the designs?

Can't say I like the R-Line front bumper.

And I don't fancy any further touch controls. Using the Infotainment/SatNav touch is 'touch and go' even for a front seat passenger. Much easier to grip a rotary dial to adjust temp/fan and push real buttons to change air flow etc. No doubt it is cheaper, so who cares about usability for drivers.
