Goodbye all!

Post by davidf27 » Tue Jul 20, 2021 8:36 am

Hi all,

So today is the last day of my T-Roc which I've had for 2.5 years ish! I loved this car and couldn't fault anything about it over the last 30,000 miles I've done! But unfortunately needed a bit more space due to a new arrival and decided to make the jump to electric! (VW ID4 which was delivered this morning)
Just want to say thanks to everyone for all their contributions whilst I've been lurking using all the useful information, have learnt so much from this forum!
Have attached a couple of pics of the 'old and the new'

David

Ooh nice. I’m not so keen on the ID3 but the 4 is cool. Hope you enjoy it - I imagine it’s quite a bit more powerful than your T-Roc as well.

I'm sure it is a very nice car, but why did they make the dash and replacement for the AID look so sparse ? It seems to be a case of VW changing for the sake of it and perhaps going too far.

I guess because they don't need a rev counter anymore. It actually works quite well to be honest, it shows the next direction on google maps/android auto on the small screen infront (something they couldn't seem to implement on the AID). It also shows range, and the driving aids (ACC etc), which is pretty much the basic of needs, I guess it would be useful to have the "consumption" figures and battery % also. The only annoyance so far is that lane assist is ALWAYS on when you start the car (I was able to permanently turn it off in the t-roc)
