I have this problem when engine is cold, dsg gear at 2 or 3 around 15-25 km/h , first 100 or 200 metres ..After this everything is ok.. My car is at 3000 km and maufactured june 2020
There are different verifications/severities of the roo and this sounds similar to mine although mines a manual gearbox.
Have you had the car from new, if so normally the roo is there from the beginning?

Definitely a job for the dealership and then go from there, could be a rejection job if they can't sort it?

This could be due to any number of things, such as a temperature sensor, faulty injector, spark plug or ignition etc. and not the original 'kangaroo' issue.

If this only happens with a cold engine, then if possible I suggest you leave the car outside at the dealer overnight (keep the keys so there is no chance for them to warm the engine before you arrive) and then arrange to take a technician on a test drive from cold to demonstrate the problem and get them to acknowledge its existence. Then they get couple of attempts to fix it and if they can't then you can reject it.

I have the same behaviour on mine, just a copy of what's seen on the video, they're aware as they admitted the car does that jumping on the RPM but say it's normal and no fixes or more testing is made.

“Normal” is this VW’s latest tactic? Just make out that these are intentional features? “Yes sir, the engine is designed to do that so that when you leave for work in the morning and are half asleep, the car graciously wakes you up by bouncing you around.”

As unbelievable as that.. They just said:
- Yeah, the car is jerking on light throttle when cold, but it only does it badly when under 90ºC on the temperature of the coolant, and hey, this engine warms up pretty fast. Also it's 'the engines technique'.
WHAT A COOL FEATURE!!

Daughter is on 2nd Troc . First one had major engine fault from day 1 and was rejected within first month.
This is the second one and seem the Roo is worse since it has got colder weather.
Main dealer saying there are no faults reported on the cars system !
She booked it in and told them at the time she wants them to check the software for the update.
Why are VW so useless.
The Roo with the 1.5 is well documented so dont try and fob her off. Particularly when her first one spent 3 weeks in the workshop in its first month of ownership before they found a main engine bearing fault. The master tech had taken the engine out three times. Would think they could take her Roo complaint seriously wouldn't you.

Is her current Roc a MY20 or later?
